But just clearing this up for anyone confused/worried.
This morning, KPs former teammate in the Latvian national team Janis Timma committed suicide in Moscow, Russia after the traumatic and eventful divorce from his wife, a Ukrainian singer who moved to Russia in 2004.
Before anyone starts messing about, this was not a conspiracy. His phone was found with a note to call his ex-wife and a note in his room.
KP and Janis were close friends and in numerous local and international documentaries they had discussed their background and history.

Damn that’s rough. We love you KP
maybe you shouldn’t post this on reddit? have a little respect for the dead, and how it may have nothing to to with KP. you’re a low-key asshole.
Peace and comfort to the family and KP🙏🏼
Holy shit….
Suicide over divorce….
Ad a Latvian this was kinda expected.
He started using drugs, had a nasty divorce and everyone from Latvia hated him for supporting Putin, he and his family received a lot of hate from all of the Latvia
Edit: fact, he did it on his ex wife birthday. 16th of December
Latvian here – JT was a great basketball player, with once very high hopes. A couple of times in his career, he was very close to the NBA. But, in recent years, he gained spotlight in a different way. He was the husband of the infamous Russian singer, Anna Sedokova. The closest comparison I’d draw would be Kim K, so you guys understand the magnitude. They were a power couple, breaking up, and getting back together, doing it all publicly, oftentimes through social media. Nevertheless, he’s the 2nd or 3rd ex-husband of hers that died. Latvians have conflicting feelings about the poor bastard, as he was arguably one of our best players in the 21st century, representing the NT, and at times playing for some of the best European clubs. Even if Russia aligned, Timma will be remembered among us.
That’s terrible, I can’t imagine the pain one must be in the take their own life, I hope I never experience it. Rest in peace Janis.
He had long career in Latvian National team but this year he chose to play in low level russian league meaning life time ban from our team. He was trying to get back Sedokovo even if it meaned giving away his reputation, national team, family, friends, etc… I think that was huge indication that something was really wrong. And it seems that he didnt get back Sedokova, which left him in very empty place. RIP
