  1. All things considered, we got a lot addressed this season. Given that Mike Macdonald is a defensive guy, they understandably focused heavily on that side of the ball:

Our D line is light years apart from what it was. Our safeties have all been upgraded without bloated contracts. We seem to have found a solid cornerback 3. And perhaps most pivotally, we got a young middle linebacker as the backbone of the entire group.

That all took trades (Ernest Jones, Leonard Williams, Robertson-Harris), draft (Byron Murphy, Tyrice Knight), free-agent signings and extensions (Julian Love, Josh Jobe, Johnathan Hankins, Rayshawn Jenkins), and even position switches (Koby Bryant, Draymont Jones)

But you can’t have it all. Offensive line is obviously our most pressing issue now, but it’s arguably the last glaring one. Defensively, we have the luxury of being free to upgrade with BPA, rather than be forced to patch up holes. Now I bet MM and JS are going to attack this offensive roster with the same aggressiveness to retool what we’ve got now. Keep in mind they drafted 3 OL picks this year, of which 2/3 seem to have great potential and 1 might just need strength training to complement his game.

I’m pretty happy with how things have turned out, less than 1 year into a new regime
