Draft possibly the best #55 in franchise history since he wore that number

The more I hear about him, the more I need him to be on this team.
Do we need Graham more than Abdul?
Graham next Brown. I can only think of one descriptor for that combo…HOG MOLLIES
I’m biased because I’m a Michigan fan but MG is up there as one of the best at his position to ever wear the maize and blue. He and Grant literally won us the OSU game because we could run a light box and put an extra defender in coverage.
There might be other players that are flashier but I see him as the safest pick in the draft of not being a bust.
As a michigan fan this kid is the real deal
Mason graham would be the safest pick for us and I think he’s pretty much guaranteed to be a stud. Would be worried about how boom/bust Carter could be. Also lots of edge depth and we could get a good edge rusher in the 2nd or 3rd
I want Graham. I do. Promise.
Buuuut. I fear that if we take him and we figure out a decent run D, our secondary will be exposed fairly quickly. Our pass defense stats are not super great, but teams have run the ball against us without problem, so there isn’t as much need to pass against us. I’m not saying that I don’t want Graham, but maybe someone more of a pass rusher (Abdul?), or even someone special at CB or S (Will Johnson?).
I think really great edge and secondary talent is slightly harder to come by in FA, and if DB comes back strong, solid rotational players on DL will probably suffice.
Just a thought.
I have grown on the idea of Mason Graham. We didn’t have especially glamorous edge rushers in 2015, Jared Allen was in his final year, Charles Johnson was no star, Kony and Mario Addison were nobodies at the time, and Shaq TD and Luke weren’t especially know for their pass rushing. What we did have was two stud defensive tackles. Brown and Graham would instantly make our defensive line a strength.
Wouldn’t cry over a receiver or edge though.
My biggest worry is that we already have DBrown. How can we juggle contracts and money put entirely in the front line if they all work out… oh wait we have Tilis nvm, let’s draft him
We need to get him. We have nine picks, package a pick and move up if they have to.
