1. I love Steve Yzerman. He was an amazing player. As a GM, he's been mediocre, at best.

3. I think Yzerman’s FA was that each time. He had to sign his 3rd, 4th and 5th options given no one wants to come and the cost. People talk about Copp, Chariot etc but no one talks about how they may have been the only ones willing to come here.

9. Tarasenko was good on the 3rd line on the Panthers. The difference is he had supporting forecheck around him. We loved him as a depth piece for scoring though. When he’s on the forecheck, he ends up producing a lot more. I love Kane and Senko but it’s true, the roster construction for these guys is atrocious. That’s why you can tell they’re miserable.

10. At this point, I would say that he is creating his own mess.

11. Kane, Tarasenko, Compher, Veleno, Copp, Ras, Fischer – there's a lot of people who have to get going. Not proud to say in any way, but this is the third straight coach I believe needs to be replaced. We seem to have adequate goaltending, but you aren't going to win many games scoring 1 or 2 goals.

12. It shows that who Kane/Tarasenko play with have very limited scoring ability.
    They can’t do it by themselves.
    This team has 1 line that can produce offense 5v5.

13. We play a defense-all-the-time system with a group of players who, outside of a few exceptions, aren't defensive. I'd rather see us play last years shoot-all-the-pucks mentality, because Kane fit that system nicely.

14. Injuries and age may have finally caught up with Patrick Kane.I don't know enough about Trarasenko to know why he is having a poor scoring season. Obviously Lalonde is not the right coach for this team. The Wings desperately need two strong players for defense, a second line center & a second line winger. Is Yzerman not going after the right players or are his hands tied by Illitch? Ray

15. lol, you guys spent all summer not even questioning if Tarasenko and Kane would be on the second line, now Scott says that's ABSURD

    Berggren – Kasper – Kane
    Rasmussen – Compher – Tarasenko

    It's not that hard. People, Lalonde included, are just terrified of giving Berggren a chance and accepting that Rasmussen isn't a top 6 forward.

16. I thought Kane looked the best he has all season in the leafs game. Even Mickey said something similar. Had some decent chances, i think if he plays that way 75% of the time for the rest of the season he'll be okay. I'm probably delusional but idk. This whole team is in some weird funk (coaching?) that they need to break out of. When no one else was scoring Larkin found a way to get at least one goal each game, now hes in a huge drought. Idk guys. I just dont know.

20. Hear me out, I think this is pretty obvious and Lalonde is a fool for not seeing this. Larkin needs to play with Raymond on line 1. Kane needs to play with Kasper. Compher and Copp clearly dosen't work with Kane for multiple reasons. Copp, Compher and Tarasenko have no business being in the top 6 and therefore they make up the 3rd line or Copp gets dropped to 4th line center. That gives you Debrincat/Rasmussen/Berggren as your options as the wingers to play on the 1st and 2nd line with Larkin/Raymond and Kasper/Kane. To get Kane going I think you need to play him with Debrincat preferably or possibly Berggren. Therefore this is the logical line combinations.

    Rasmussen/Larkin/Raymond.
    Debrincat/Kasper/Kane.
    Copp/Compher/Tarasenko.
    Berggren/Veleno/Motte.

    Or

    Debrincat/Larkin/Raymond.
    Berggren/Kasper/Kane.
    Rass/Compher/Tarasenko.
    Motte/Copp/Veleno.

    I honestly think Fischer is one of the most useless forwards offensively I have ever seen in a Wings uniform and he should be the odd man out. Big takeaway here is NO Tarasenko in top 6 and Kane needs to play with Kasper and Debrincat/Berggren and use that line in offensive zone deployments as much as possible. Berggren on the 3rd line and Copp on 4th makes sense as well for option 1.

21. 100% Scotty is dead on when he said playing Tarasenko and Kane on the same line was preposterous and was never, ever going to work. Lalone trying it for so long is one of the reasons I lost all faith in him. Loved the prom analogy as well lmao

22. Id rather lose 8-7 every game instead of losing 2-1. At least it would be entertaining

23. Kane needs a 2nd surgery to install new legs. And they are still hyping his picture to sell tickets. Who runs the Wings marketing department? Another buddy of Stevie?
