Magic gauging Market for a Cole Anthony trade

  1. Make sense. He’s just not a fit with what the team wants to do. Whether it’s missing an assignment on defense, or get lazy with an easy pass that turns into a turnover, he’s just not a guy you can rely on in crucial moments.

  2. I mean of course we are since he’s getting paid a solid amount but isn’t really playing. Unfortunately he probably has negative value, so if we want that $13 million off the books, we have to attach an asset. Otherwise we can (hopefully) find a player in the same situation and we can trade reclamation project for reclamation project.

  3. I can’t see anyone needing him for a playoff push. Most I can see is a tanking team like Brooklyn wanting him to lead the tank

  4. I hope it’s not a dump off and they use him instead in a package if they do intend to trade him

  5. But… I was told he was just going through a bad patch and will turn his game around soon. 🤔

  6. Rockets fan coming in peace. Do you think Ime could turn him around? And how was his shooting in past years? He use to always cook us and we go through rough stretches without scoring right now and I think he is a good fit right for us.

Tate, couple 2nd Picks, and cap filler for Cole seems like a fair deal.

  7. Bro fell off after getting paid smh we going to have to attach multiple second round picks or a first smh

  8. Sad but we knew this day would come probably midway through last season when we realized Cole’s offense isn’t quite where it needs to be, especially when teams can hunt Cole defensively. Love Cole as a culture guy, but Weltgawd isn’t f*ckin around anymore. The path to deep playoff success has become clear and Welt is making moves that will get us there over the next few years.

  9. Hate to say it cause I really love the guy, but I think he may flourish if given a chance to start over somewhere else. The team is just way too stacked now.
