[OC] in ’24 is wild but go off king
The fact that he’s as dominant or perhaps even more than Shaq already, still working hard on his game AND has a broken middy package is some alien shit man. They been asking “what if Shaq worked on his game” for a long time. The answer is right infront of us, our number 34.
I legit don’t get how he is better every year. Doesn’t even make sense.
Giannis has improved tremendously this year at positioning on offense and knowing how his movements impact the other 9 players on the Court. This has been happening all year and I really noticed it in the OKC game.
One big change is playing more from the elbow. He seems much more efficient with the jump shot from the elbow as compared to the wings. He has also been great as a playmaker from that spot both spraying out to 3 point shooters and finding Brook and other guys in the dunker spot. This is like getting the Queen to the center of the board in chess. He has much better options than at the top of the key where we don’t want him shooting and the defense can use the wall. At the elbow the defense can’t wall up as easily against him.
Against OKC there were several key possessions where Giannis moved with or without the ball to create a shift in the defense to get someone an open look. This is as little as two steps from the elbow to the wing which forces the defense to rotate and creates cracks that can be exploited.
Shout out to dame who’s been able to open up the lanes more for Giannis to feast. And Giannis feasting letting dame have more space to work with
