Watching the hit that took Ed out of the game…yikes

  1. Doesn’t surprise me the refs missed it. They’re just raising and lowering their arms to fuck with teams at this point. Can’t get any worse

  2. Could be a concussion or a broken jaw. Dirty hit, went right for the head. That type of shit enrages me.

  3. On one hand I’m glad it’s not his shoulder again. In the other hand that was straight to head, not ideal

  4. Dirty and deliberate. Too many of those hits to the head, will end a career.

In a sport that allows fighting… these types of hits should be met with harsh and increasingly harsher suspensions.

  5. So if there was no penalty called in the game can they review it later and fine the offender?

  6. Have to wonder if the DoP(e)S will spin The Wheel of Justice on this one.

That looks like a suspension to me.

  7. That was so dirty. They did not show any replay or even talk about the hit on the broadcast.

  8. Yeah why wasn’t that called for elbowing? Holy hell….seemed pretty cut and dry to me….hopefully nothing serious…maybe he’s in concussion protocol?

  9. You’d think a headshot that takes out the 2nd best defenseman on the ice would’ve warranted the tv crew to investigate and show different camera angles.

    But I guess not.

  10. Hit directly to the head/jaw. No penalty. Pisses me off more that nobody on this soft spineless team even said a word to the guy about it

  11. Watched it back again, looked like he was grabbing his jaw on the way out. Broken jaw would hurt a ton now but may be better long term than concussion imho. Hopefully neither but I’m scared.

  12. Greasy hit, for sure. I hope Ed is ok. I’m thankful this isn’t a lower body injury and that it looks like it wasn’t a head injury or concussion either. He gets right back up and seems pretty stable on his feet, so, good news there.

That said, lowkey, I think this is going to be a learning experience for Ed. Hopefully, in the future, he’ll be ready to anticipate that contact and can deliver a reverse hit. Something Mo has gotten really good at.

Think about it, ever seen Mo get his bell rung like this? Not really. What we do see from Mo is those big reverse hits. I hope that is the takeaway for Ed here once he’s fully recovered.

I hope we get an update soon.

  13. Refs missed it. And so did all of his teammates. This team is a fucking clown show. Zero teammates stood up for him.
