1. That was the most confident I felt after a loss in a while. Yes it was to a crap team and Merz had been awful all year but hockey is a funny game. The process was 100% there. Getting two goals with the goalie pulled was dope. The boys did not phone it in.

2. Annoying to keep getting goalied by bad teams. Regardless, at least they’re usually controlling the games they’re losing and it’s just bad luck. Need a game where the offence gets like 5 goals.

3. I feel pretty encouraged coming out of that game. Obviously the comeback was so close that it feels unfortunate they weren’t able to get it done but they’ve had a couple games now where they’ve gotten “goalied” and let it frustrate them, so I’m glad they found a way to not get shutout.

4. Frustrating loss but what can you do. I am, like everyone else, slightly concerned about bottom 6 depth scoring lately. Really hope they have a game where a couple of them get going and it starts a spark. I will preface this by saying that I like Allen and think he’s a serviceable back up, but all the people complaining about Markstrom and his “soft goal” that he’s been letting in will hopefully quiet down now. I bet Markstrom only lets in 1 in that game and maybe we get a win or at least a point out of it.

5. I don’t even sweat our losses anymore. This team has shown that it’s legit as hell. Shit happens, they’ll show out next game.

6. Lot of good things to like about a loss. Jack and Luke have been activated and are mad as fuck. We didnt lose our structure and completely cave after giving up the first three. Team learned that it’s not an automatic loss to be down 3 with five minutes left. Team learned that one mistake in the neutral zone can cost them 2 points. These are all things good teams learn on their way to becoming great.

7. Looking at the stats this morning,

   My concern is Jack n’Bratt have 42 pts each.

   Next is Nico at 29.

   They need that other line to get moving again,

   Other then that, solid comeback to not get shutout

8. I’m a huge fan of the new “down but not out” attitude the Devils have adopted this season. So refreshing compared to the last few years.

9. I think this team will end up hitting a really good stride and massive win streak at some point this season. They haven’t had a majority poor effort game in a long time. As long as they keep playing better hockey than their opponent, 3-1 stretches will be a norm and better streaks will be due.

   I also have every confidence that at trade deadline they will up the firepower to match the defensive solidarity, and that some droughts for some players will pass.

10. Elvis legit broke himself keeping the boys out of the net.

11. Didn’t get to watch last night but encouraging seeing everyone’s optimism. Honestly don’t care if they don’t go on any streaks, if we can win 3 of 4 for the rest of the year, we’d probably win the presidents trophy

12. Was the last game I could watch before I’m off to China to visit my girlfriend’s family for the holidays. Was hoping for a win but at least they made it interesting after getting goalied again for 57 minutes. Merzlinkins always shuts us down. Ah well just pound that rags on Monday. Not sure whether I can stream the games there or not but and it’ll be 7am pick drops but I’ll find a way. Rags game will be a 1am puck drop but I should have that jet lag working in my favor.
