Saturday is a must win, steelers is a must win,
Sean Payton can coach his starters against the Chiefs’ 2nd team.
He better make sure he doesn’t run out of chewing gum like he did vs the chargers.
DJ Humphries out this week, if everything goes as planned that would mean he’s getting 1 more game with Patrick heading the offense. Maybe the bye will do some good for congealing them without the need for in game reps but these last 4 games were meant to knock the rust off but that’s going to be hard to do in just 1.75 games
They might throw him in there with Wentz week 18 but given his age and the fact that hamstrings linger I don’t think they’ll risk it flaring up in a worthless game
The fact that we could have the 1 seed locked up week 18 against the Bronocs is interesting. It is quite possible that if we beat the Broncos week 18 that the Bengals make the playoffs. I don’t want the Bengals to make the playoffs.

Super excited for the Christmas week games. The schedule booking of us and Ravens flipping Texans and Steelers as opponents across all four locations is fabulous. So many implications in all four games too.
Broncos choking last night is bad for us if we both lose next week. Cause Week 18 will force us to play starters for the 1 seed and Broncos to play starters for a win-and-in.

For no real credible reason, the discourse around Patrick (that he’s regressed, he’s hurt too bad to play, that other teams are coming for him, he’s “tired”, etc.) has REALLY chilled me out. He’s a friendly guy, but he has a MASSIVE COMPETITIVE mean streak. He’s seething, at the moment. Steph Curry is the same way and he said after the team won the title in 2022 that he read ALL the coverage saying he was washed in previous seasons and started mocking the people who said it.
If Brown opens up the offense and protection holds, I think Patrick is about to go on one of the runs where he just moves the team to score on the force of will every possession.
