This Move Would Show The Blue Jays TRUE INTENTIONS This Offseason… | Blue Jays Rumours
If you have been listening to us talk about the needs on the Blue Jays, you’ll know we have been very persistent the need of a corner outfielder in this lineup. Today, we talk about Jurickson Profar. Profar is an interesting free agent, as he is coming off of his best season of his career but has not produced to this level consistently. Profar, entering his age 32 season may be looking to get a bag from whichever team he goes to. Would this be a good fit for the Toronto Blue Jays? Will Jurickson Profar continue to produce the way he did in 2024? What could a contract for Profar look like? Would this be the BIG off-season signing the Blue Jays fan base is looking for? We’ll answer all these questions and provide you with the most up-to-date Blue Jays news and storylines on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays.

Nice. I like when someone looks at BAbip to determine luck. (Kirk, Moreno). It's one of my main stats I check.
For pitchers it's the difference between the FIP and ERA. How lucky were they?
Profar's .300 is closer to average, so that's not too bad. (Moreno was at .450 in the second half of 2023. That's why everyone thought he was so great.)
Also, mentioning the pitch type success. A+.
I did that with Santander last week.
In 2023 he was the best vs FB and terrible vs off speed.
2024 he was the worst vs fastball and great vs off speed.
One thing we heard Ross say was 'guys who hit certain pitches' , so that's the first place I've been looking. That's the only reason Santander even makes sense to me
The best possible trade for the Blue Jays would be Ross Atkins and a PTBL for AJ Preller. For better or worse, Preller would give us some action!
look for the best defensive corner outfielders available who cant hit worth for sh*t – that's who the FO will go after.
Profar? Id consider keeping Loperfido at left field.
Tommy Pham might come cheaply.
I'd be okay if they got Profar and something else like Joc Pederson
Since they don't want to pay Vlad, they have two options – trade him and try to get something good for him after his solid second half of last season, or, keep him and hope he sucks and nobody wants to pay him more next year, so they have a chance. And they seem open to trading Bo now, which totally makes sense, coming off his horrible 2024 season. Blue Jays are buying high and selling low.
I will give credit to management on their gambles. They have a track record of finding hidden gems, so if they do go in on a guy like this. I have faith that they see something, and they’ll likely get a good player. I know exactly what you guys mean though. It’s great that they can find great discounts in the bargain bin, but we need to stop exclusively shopping in the bargain bin
Without Vlad or/and Bo signed long term, as well as an aging starting lineup, why would any top talent in the game sign a long term deal? Unless the Jays significantly overpay.
hi guys well profar has been around he can hit but does he have a good arm ps bo can hit also
