Considering the team was sold to Harris Blitzer at $320m in 2013, they must be ecstatic and says a lot about devils fans showing up and supporting the team.

It’s from all those season ticket benefits and give aways they cut.
I dont remember what the “gift” was this year, but last year season ticket holders got a .jpeg of a jersey with their name on it.
Remember when they were threatening to move to Nashville? I sure do.
“Poverty franchise”
“Small market team”
We also seem to have a lot of international fans, especially from the UK for some reason. Maybe Cam Janssen had something to do with it lol
This stuff comes up every year. Disclaimer, this is a fairly meaningless valuation.
They list the Yotes / Hockey Club as over doubling in value. From $500M to over $1B.
Forbes isn’t given access to the ledgers or anything. It’s all BS.
Would be great if they could put some of that into better food at the rock
I’m sure ownership in the arena and hosting major events there helps the value of the team tremendously
We are massive
At the end of the day the team has a lot going for it:
1. Even if you’re doomed to always be second to the Rags in media attention, the NY metro area is significantly larger than any other metro in the country. And branding yourself around a subset of that metro is a smart move – even if you only get fans from NJ, there are more people in NJ than most US cities
2. The branding of this team is so on point. The Devils name is unique and cool but also links to NJ lore. The logo is super clean and classic – it’s never really been updated in 40 years for a reason. There seem to be a lot of European Devils fans and I have to suspect that the branding helps sell the team for people with no geographical connection to North America
3. Jack Hughes is as exciting and dynamic as any player in the league this side of McDavid. He is a walking highlight reel and one of the most marketable players in the league
4. The future looks really bright. There are never any guarantees in hockey but if you asked me which teams have the best chance of winning a cup in the next ten years, I feel that the devils have as good a chance as anyone else.
