He actually has a heel injury. Before, Luka would just play through it because they have to. Now Mavs believe they can survive games without him. The most important thing is to get him to the playoffs fully healthy
He’s really risking All-NBA and other awards though…

I’m so so fuckin disappointed that for a player who literally leads the total points in 2020s so far, and not particularly due to playing more games than others, doesn’t even have one mvp for the showing. He’s gonna be 27 two years later. Like for having such a strong start, not having one mvp until 27 is just so underwhelming. And don’t say Luka doesn’t care about mvp, he absolutely cares about it. If anything it appears the team or Jason Kidd doesn’t care about though, from making endless brainrot moves during the time when he had the narratives, to suddenly forcing him play off-ball more during his prime, his minutes barely decreases, and he already misses 8 games not even 30 games in. And for people want to disagree with me, just so you know, if this season they don’t win a ring, this is gonna be another worthless season for Luka and he’s gonna be 26. How many mvp-less, ring-less 26-year-old player eventually got one of those?
These contusions sucks. Kyrie missed a month last season with a heel contusion.
Clippers are good and match up well vs us. Harden is in shape this year. He didn’t have to go takeover mode on us last game. Gonna be tough even with Ky. Lively and Gaff CANNOT get punked again

We’re never gonna have home court in the Luka era again. Before anyone argues that load management is good for the championship, remember that him not playing ruins our chances at Home Court. The Clippers tried load managing Kawhi and he still got injured come playoff time.
Health all around this season has been a disaster. The team actually playing together and building continuity matters and it feels like it’s never gonna happen.

So that’s good at least.
