Dolphins In Depth: Can Mike McDaniel inspire strong finish from Dolphins?

The Miami Dolphins haven’t been mathematically eliminated, but a loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the home finale would extinguish Miami’s bleak playoff hopes. Good coaches find a way to inspire their team, and Mike McDaniel should be focused on helping the Dolphins produce the franchise’s fifth straight winning season. But to give his team the best chance the Dolphins must patch some holds on offense and defense. During this episode of Dolphins in Depth, we break down the chances that Miami will have its starting tackles and discuss what receiver needs to step up in Jaylen Waddle’s absence.

  1. McDaniel couldnā€™t inspire a starving man to eat. He has regressed every year. No imagination and NO BALLS! This team is softer than cotton candy. McDanielā€™s record against teams with winning records speaks for itself.

  2. In the news tonight Miami Herald Reporter Barry Jackson is arrested for trying to sell large quantities of "Hopium" to Dolphins fans. More on this later. šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

  3. Havenā€™t we learned that injuries on the opposing team never benefits us. The entire Bills starting defense was out or got injured during our first game against them this year and we STILL COULDNā€™T MOVE THE BALL.

  4. 22:10 I still think Erik Ezukanma is only a bust due to his availability. I think his ability is higher than his availability has allowed him to show. But the trade was worth making. The problem is that what Grier did with all of the resources he got from that trade, should be handled with criminal charges. The later round picks Iā€™ll look past the misses. But those early round failures, like taking Liam Eichenburg over Creed Humphrey, are enough to justify Griers firing in my eyes.

  5. Dolphins šŸ¬ dont need to win another game this season. Time to empty our bench to play our second, third and practice squad players. Player development should be the focus for now.

We want higher draft position to add quality rookies at positions of need. No need to make playoffs and get bounced out early. Focusing on the long term development of our roster šŸŽ‰. Finishing 9-8 would be a total disaster. Going 6-11 with a full evaluation of all players will help us to be real Super Bowl Contenders next season.

  6. Tua STILL needs way more in terms of weapons?? That means nothing will ever be enough for Tua. Bills lost Diggs and Dolphins fans thought they would duck. That bc weā€™re used to a QB that needs all-pros at every position around him

  7. Love you guys. Omar followed you since Sun Sentinel.
Most of your analysis is spot on. Even with the sour of Chris Grier .
Dolphin in depth is a must see every week. Barry is excellent compliment with Omar. Isaiah still coming along he'll get there.

  8. Definitely routing for the team to lose out, for the first time in 43 years. I have zero faith in the McDaniel/Grier combo. The vision is laughable. It's like a grade 7 Madden-nerd came up with the offensive formula. Soft coach, soft culture, soft team: no chance.
