If we’re rolling with Shead long-term (which we will) I think it’s best to gauge the market for trades involving Davion.

  1. If you are trying to trade Davion, which the Raptors absolutely should be, Davion needs to play, not Shead. Jamal will play once Davion has found a new home. Having Davion ride the bench is not helping anyone bring him in.

  2. Davion Mitchell is the centre piece that lands us Luka Doncic. Question is, would Masai take such a risk? I say we go for it. Take a leap of faith.

  3. A FRP might be a little unrealistic.

A reclamation project who is 24 or under, or a SRP (which the Raps shouldn’t really covet at this point) would be good.

  4. Shead is nowhere close to being ready as an NBA player, let alone being a backup PG. Davion will be moved when Shead is ready, but until then we’ve got considerable depth.

  5. I dont like being negative on young guys, especially rooks, but Shead has a long way to go to even be an nba backup still.

People see a few Lowry qualities and are quick to anoint any undersized pg that plays here.

  6. >They didn’t announce sellouts for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder (18,356), Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets (19,082) and Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks (19,625).

    >Now, the team’s 6-8 at home and 7-21 overall, ticket prices aren’t going down and an aberration of a 16,324 audience for a hastily scheduled game — because they missed the NBA Cup quarterfinal round again — all factor into it. And maybe it picks up post-Christmas. But right now, this is looking like the worst attendance in more than a decade.

    >Sure, tickets are maybe sold and that revenue’s in the bank, but imagine all the $15 beers, $25 prime rib sandwiches and $10 slices that are going unsold?

    >It adds up.

    Good lol

  7. How do we manage a Davion/Boucher trade package? Been saying for YEARS at this point to trade Chris, should’ve traded him when mans like KD were mentioning him by name when he was still in Brooklyn.
