Sorry for the non Vikings take but it takes about 8 years for a Blue Agave to fully mature before production, a lot of companies are harvesting early and using a sub par way to extract the pulp, kind of like a lot of whiskey companies have removed age statements from their bourbon and maybe coming from a large factory producer. Most celebrity tequilas are not great examples of what tequila should takes like adding glycerin, vanilla flavoring and caramel coloring, If it has a stong vanilla taste it generally has additives in it.
