Reminder: Wells was drafted on 2nd round, 39th overall pick

Should be ROTY. What other second rounder is playing major minutes as a starter, scoring and shooting at a good clip, and guarding the best player on the opposing team every game?
Dude was playing D2 basketball 2 years ago lol. He looks so calm and collected on the court you wouldn’t think he’s on a meteoric rise.
I’ve been telling this for years:
Best players of each course rarely make it into Top-4 pick nowadays.
They are mostly teenagers at times almost children and they are expected to be super-stars when many of them never actually played against grown-ass men.
Nobody expected anything from Wells. That was blessing for him.
He could develope his game free of filthy hype and he ***earned*** a spot in a competitive team by his own guts and grits.
High Draft picks can’t even fight to deserve a spot. They often are starters just for free in disgraceful tank machines.
Prophecy: Won’t take that long to witness an Undrafted MVP.
You read it here before.
No… I know won’t be Huff.
But I’d sure love it.
OP do you really think anyone in this sub needs a reminder?
Yet they want to give ROTY to a guy averaging the same points on way worse efficiency
