Anyone else find it absolutely insane that we were blessed with not one, but TWO players with 3000 hits ON THE SAME TEAM?
I know we only had a small slice of Ricky’s career here, but he is one of the few HOF guys we got at the back end of their careers that actually contributed in a meaningful way, though it also helps that he was on a talented team.
He was always fun to watch, and it was a joy to have him and Tony on the team together; it was the only time I think that Tony was truly on a team with a professional that was at his level of greatness.
