Josh Naylor Appreciation Post

  1. Goodbye sweet prince. You were far from perfect, but damn you were fun. Thanks for the dingers, the dad bod, the batshit and for never finding a helmet that could fit. Hope there’s plenty more bombs in your future against the 28 other teams that aren’t Cleveland.

  2. The reason I became a baseball fan and my first piece of Guardians gear was a Naylor shirt.

  3. I hate how this ends.  Guy gave 100% every time out there, rehabbed that gnarly ankle injury, and wore his emotions on his sleeve (which pro athletes rarely do).  They’ve got three at Arizona this year, too bad he can’t come back for a set

  4. This is insanely sad that we are losing him. Probably means we will lose his brother too. Wow what is our management doing getting ready to him and Andres Giménez after an ALCS appearance

  5. With Gimenez and Naylor gone, who is gonna sign before games now?!?! 😭 gonna miss them both

  6. Smoke king, love you sir. Just got on Reddit after doing Christmas stuff all day and saw this trade and Carlos Santana coming back. Wild.

  7. Man every time we make a move, it’s just another stab to the heart.. gime and Naylor 😢😢😢

  8. I remember vehemently defending him against the loud minority on here the year after the trade when he was struggling. I’ve gotta admit that even back then I saw 30 HR 100 RBI as an absolute best case scenario. Thanks for a great time Josh, you were a fun player to watch!

  9. If dude kept himself in better shape he could be a lot better. But respect. He was a fun guy to root for

  10. That injury in right made me think he might not play again. Was great to see him come back and play well. Hate this ownership for not being willing to extend talent. I know we have Manzardo but this sucks.

  11. I will miss his passion. His undeniable heart. So many great memories with him.

I will not miss him going 0-4 and seeing only 6 pitches in a game total lol.

  12. I’ll never forget the smoke game against the White Sox. It was a pleasure to watch him, and he had a great ability of picking up some wicked hops thrown to him at first base.

  13. Your pose right there in that picture. My husband, an Astros fan, hates it. It made me smile even more watching games with him as you rounded the bases. Keep it up even it is with the D Backs.

  14. I’m sad to see Josh go, will never forget his clutch HRs, rocking the baby home. Wish him the best.

  15. I’ll miss seeing his helmet wobble around on his head like a cartoon character as he makes his third grand slam swing for a strike with his eyes pointing into the sky completely not towards the ball or closed

  16. At first, I wasn’t a fan of his when he first arrived from the trade. But he won me over by his dedication, emotions, and wearing his heart on his sleeves. I loved how he was the feel good story. But I will miss him. And I hope for the best for him and his career!

  17. My guy 🧡🫶🙏 that man just exudes realness and baseball and I really enjoy watching him take himself to the next level. He’s such a great player to watch!
