This is the big splash move we’ve been waiting for
Adams’ Savant Metrics below, lots of red just didn’t get the results overall but still not bad.
With his lower fastball velocity I would think they would push for him to develop some breaking pitches, which Andrew Bailey and the Driveline guys I’m sure will start working on immediately. Super great pickup on a minor league deal in my opinion. Nice to have established depth at AAA.
As far as middle relievers on minor league deals they could do a lot worse. I don’t do the whole “Oh that’ll move the needle” thing unless the Red Sox try to convince me it will first. Until then I take it at face value as a good depth move.
Andrew Bailey turns him into Mike Timlin.
He’s kind of the poster child for “has great stuff, doesn’t know where it’s going.”
Speaking of which, has anyone noticed that Darwinzon Hernandez has been excellent in Japan the last couple years?
don’t mind minor moves every organization makes them every organization needs them but obviously bigger moves need to be made
Poor command that I’m not sure he’s going to suddenly improve at 33, but who knows. Low risk signing
I chose to read this as “hitting appearances.”
surprised nobody in this thread is losing their full shit because this is not corbin burnes
Welcome to the Nation Austin.
With what Bailey did with the rotation last year I’m okay with signing any arm and seeing what he can get out of them.
