  1. Best case it’s a great contract and he is a defensive cornerstone and three point player for 4 years. Worst case he sucks and we attach 1 of our 19 picks to get rid of him and salary match for a good player rental.

  2. Let’s fucking go! Presti probably gave him more money for the team option (?). If that’s the case, it’s more like 3 year 60M. The first two years is before shai Supermax (35%) and jdub Chet rookie max (25%). If it’s a 3 year guaranteed contract, we can easily attach a late first or a couple seconds to eat the 20M expiring before the 85% for our main 3 comes in.

  3. It may seem a little high now but it makes him a valuable trade piece should we need to do that. Think about what Ihart signed for, in 3 years it wont look as big as it looks now.

  4. So this contract will pay Caruso until he’s 35. He is a championship veteran known for his defense and hustle. This year, he’s playing 20 minutes a game while averaging 5.7pts on 39/27/78 shooting. His championship experience will come in handy when the team makes their Playoff run.

  5. That’s awesome news. Give me a Cam Johnson trade before Christmas and what a Christmas it’ll be for Thunder fans!

  6. Fuck yeah. I can’t wait until his 3 is more consistent, but I’m down with this. Especially if Presti thinks it’s the move to make

  7. Hype. I was really hoping we’d keep him for a bit, his defense is so impactful it’s crazy. I have faith that his shot will start falling eventually.

  8. People are going to disagree/downvote me but i’m not the biggest fan of this extension

I would’ve preferred a 2 or a 3 year deal instead tbh, im just skeptical with Caruso’s game aging well with his offense being this shaky + injury history + the natural regression that comes with age

  9. Has anyone mentioned what type of contract this is by the way? A front loaded contract would be an absolute steal!
