How come the A’s let him go? He was OK for them last year, nothing jumps out at me about bad peripherals, and their bullpen was shaky even before they traded Erceg. Does he tell people to “shut the f*** up” on every team he’s on?
He hasn’t had the greatest career overall, but you never know when a reliever is going to have an unexpected career year. I’m all in favor of giving guys like him a chance. Plus, “Austin” rhymes with “Boston”, so what could be better? Welcome to town!!

Adams’ YouTube highlight clip is hilarious. He celebrates every single out and genuinely looks insane.
Lots of walks and hit batsmen although he generates a ton of strikeouts. Get him in the pitching lab and put this psycho on the mound.
If he carries that over to the other New York team, I think he’ll get along just fine here.
