[Passan] Right-hander Walker Buehler and the Boston Red Sox are in agreement on a one-year, $21.05 million contract, sources tell ESPN. One of the Dodgers’ World Series heroes and a two-time All-Star will join a rebuilt Red Sox rotation. A high-upside play for both

  1. That’s actually an interesting signing for Boston. He looked better in the playoffs and maybe some more recovery time helped. If he sucks then it’s only a year.

  2. Dude hasn’t been healthy or good since 2022.

I’m still all aboard the **Corbin Burnes** train who is losing suitors left and right.

  3. Am I wrong to be a bit sad that we didn’t take a flier on him? Isn’t his stuff pretty ridiculous?

  4. It’s one year, so low risk. This guy was cooked during regular season when he came back from injury and he lost his arsenal he had pre-injury. WS is small sample.

  5. Can someone check on what atkins is doing? This is a deal we could have easily done. Yankess and red sox fo is doing circles around us this offseason so far.

  6. I guess teams are tired of waiting around for Burnes to make a decision. I’m also tired of waiting for Burnes to make a decision.

  7. A bit of a surprising signing there. It’s a good play for both sides.

Meanwhile we’re here tapping our feet like Sonic the Hedgehog waiting for the Jays to do SOMETHING.

  8. Org is fucking toast, extend vladdy and bo and hope they somehow win games, if they don’t, time to trade everyone and just full rebuild

  9. Son of a bitch Boston is starting to look pretty nasty. Great young core and starting to add pieces. I think they’ll overtake the O’s next year and could even give the Yankees a run for the division title. Running out of time Atkins!!

  10. I get a kick out of how the dialogue on most of these signing threads are the off-season equivalent of ‘it’s early.” There’s lots of options left until we stand pat long enough that there isn’t. Who needs the regular season when you can watch the same narrative play out in the offseason?
