Who?? Why post a picture looking for what happened to this guy if he’s not around people won’t know who he is????
Who the hell finds out they’re sitting on 2B worth of stone and says “Yeah, I’m gonna dig that out myself.” Why not just sell it outright to someone who does that already?
i’m pretty sure the first baseball billionaire was an owner long before 2002
Matt White. Saw him play when I was working at the NJ Cardinals when he was in single A. He was a light prospect at the time. Got his autograph too.
I was today years old when i discovered reebok made gloves.

As someone who watches the Blue Jays, the mere mention of Mitch White makes me wanna hurl a bit as it reminds me of the batting practice he used to pitch in actual games.
The absurd valuation is a good reminder that sports journalists are not very good journalists.

Here’s the most recent article I could find on him. https://www.espn.com/blog/playbook/dollars/post/_/id/3482/ex-dodger-matt-white-digging-for-millions#
He has a website but I can’t find if he’s actually profited from this 10+ years later
[Bankrupt in 2014 and had to sell the quarry according to this guy.](http://nightowlcards.blogspot.com/2018/01/wrong-white.html?m=1)
