Lakers pay vando 10, wood 5…who really overpaid?
Tbh nba contracts nowadays are hyper inflated. Any contract that’s at least $10 million annually is considered overpaid
The more you tell people to subscribe to your channel, the more they're not going to yo. Stop reaching, you sound desperate…lol
Man there's a lot of teams that would gladly pay Caruso this money. Plus his contract is pretty tradable
I'm not subing to a channel that puts out propaganda about the Carushow! Alex is worth every penny.
The smartest GM in the league really wants Alex Caruso to stay with his team. The Golden State Warriors’ front office really wanted Caruso for multiple years. You know who didn’t value him? Rob Pelinka and Jeannie Buss. That should tell you exactly how valuable Alex Caruso is…
The fascination with Caruso from these casual fans is hilarious LMAO, This is a overpay PERIOD, Don’t care how you slice it or who contract you compare it too stop
They would have gone for KD, which is just pride for nothing, OKC? If u look at this OKC, they need Kelvin Durant to close their game
Meanwhile lakers home 🏡 playing checkers
Hey, wasn't that guy a Laker at one point? Wonder what happened? Maybe Pelinka can tell us.
Dude that like 19 a year. How is that over paid. Stop reaching and trying to create drama because as a lakers fan you still butt hurt he’s not on your team.
If you rarely score 20 points and yet can net 20 million, congratulations thats impressive! Great underdog story! From Challenges to Champ to Checks!
Trev you don’t think AC is 4M dollars better than Rui? 😂
wtf? 4 years/20 million is not an overpay nor is it a huge mistake. The dude is elite 3&D PoA guy. Your mega stars are making 60 million. First round rookies making 4-8 mil. 20 mill for an elite role player isnt that far off what you'd expect.
The reason i would say its not is because of the new tv deal and its impact on the salary cap. I think you're gonna see more players get paid more than they should, and looking back its still going to look like a value deal in the end. Okc, just too smart with their money to not be thinking ahead. I think they are looking at caruso a a mid level paid player and thinking thats what the mle is going to be at that point in time. Today, we can look at it and say they overpaid tomorrow its gonna look like a steal.
Just so he won’t go back to The Lakers
4:00 Fuck these agents
It's worth what he brings on defense.
AC deserves it, top five elite defender. Period.
OKC is the new rockets with harden.. they win a lot of regular season games but they winning no championship.. Shay is a star not a superstar!
Reminds me of the Bruce Brown Jr contract over pay. God forbid Caruso gets hurt OKC will regret this contract extension. Biggest takeaway; this contract sets the market for SG’s like James Harden, Bruce Brown Jr (ironically), Caris Levert, Matisse Thybulle, Pat Connaughton and Cameron Thomas. 💡
Are you serious? Trev, Caruso is absolutely worth 20M a year … He could be the difference between a 2nd rd exit and a finals run for the Thunder…. And 2 yrs into the contract, the cap would've grown significantly 20%+ ..
Caruso could have been the difference between the Lakers having 1 title vs 2 if they had kept him…. I'm incredibly confident of this….
Look at that impact KCP on the Nuggets….
it’s the nba. apart from jokic and giannis everyone is overpaid
OKC didn’t overpay. He would be perfect on Lakers.
It's rather give 20 millions to Austin than Caruso..
Guy is averaging 5.7ppg and shooting 38% from the field . He’s a one dimensional player . It’s funny how lakers fans hate one dimensional players like cam reddish and Vanderbilt but scream about how rob should have never let Caruso go….
Lakers are idiots for letting him, Dwight, Kcp and jaVale go. God I miss the logo – we were idiots for letting him go too
If Im the lakers Id still trade for him at that price. Trade Rui or Dlo and JHS +picks. Id make that trade in a heartbeat
Not an overpay. Per 100 possessions when Caruso is on the floor opponents score 6.3 points less than their average shoot 3% worse than their average and give up over 4 turnovers more than their average. That implies a high impact player affecting winning basketball all over the court, fingerprints left everywhere. Good signing, Thunder will have no regrets.
Caruso has shot terribly this season – he's worth a veteran minimum. Lu Dort is just as good of a defender and he's 5 years younger.
Idiotic decision by the Thunder front office – Caruso is averaging 4 less ppg, 1 less rpg and 1 less apg than he did last season and his 3 pt percentage is down a whopping 13% from a very good 40% to an majorly subpar 27%. He's worth a veteran minimum – that's about it.
Wose case give a 1st round pick and a team would take him
@basketball bulletin not really bruce brown making 23 million, KCP who has been playing like ass making 22 million for another 3 years. caruso probably better than both defensively so they probably got fair market value.
dont forget there is new revenue from a new us cable tv contract kicking in 2026, so all players are gonna be asking for more than usual on new contracts.
I think there’s a team option at the end of
He will be making mid level in a few years. With all the picks he’s a tradable contract at any point. Pelinka should be learning from Presti 😂
They will regret it later
They did not overpay. These are the most valuable type of players. Players that defend and care about basketball
As a thunder fan this can only mean one thing dort would be walking next year 😢
If they win the championship it won’t matter gotta have that defense something we wish we had on the lakers even though we are playing better. Plus the thunder are so young folks should take notes
They will trade him and get a trade exception like they always do.
Not an overpay
Will have none guaranteed years, just boosting contract as a trade asset for when they seek to trade for a bigger star
LOL I can’t imagine this being a bad thing for Presti and OKC. We hear this every single time and then we realize oh shit maybe Thunder know what they’re doing 😂
By the end of Caruso’s contract, his salary will only be 10% of the cap. It’s definitely not an over pay
Think you’re wrong on this one. I’m not about to doubt Presti resigning an elite defender.
This Lane guy sounds like he's eating sour grapes. The Lakers are irrelevant. The Thunder are the new power. Get over it and go back and hide in your irrelevant box with LeBron.
