Would’ve been 100k if he hadn’t said he wasn’t criticizing the woman
This just means he’ll be in more ads
What did he say?
“Too bad these fines can’t reduce our cap number so we can get under the second apron.” – T. Connolly
Good on Ant for calling the ref’s out. Their bias game to game, team to team, player to player is so blatant and the players and fans are tired of it. Now we just need Adam Silver to actually do his part and hold the ref’s accountable, but I wouldn’t hold my breath…
Merry Spritemas.
Kind of inconsistent that Vanvleet called a ref out by name and his fine was only 30k. Ant says “they were terrible” and gets 75k fine?
Well worth it.

The price of being right.
Fuck ’em
wish these dudes would go out all and call out adam silver and make the fine worth it
………………. NBA has a system where you are punished for criticizing it, so the system will never improve internally
And the ratings plummet further
I’m not sure why Edwards was so heated after this game in particular. There were weak calls and missed calls favoring the Wolves too.
Avoided that 100k fine by omitting the female referee
he will not even be effected by this at all and i will struggle to pay rent
Can’t wait for this quote to be in the nba media promo next year
Imagine what they’d have to fine media members for disparaging their image if they could fine them
Funny how no one gets fined criticising the officials when they win a game.
League protecting these zebras more than their players smh
If he doesnt pay, like would they suspend him? The league wants him to draw in viewership so i cant imagine they would sit him. Ant has the opportunity to really flex on the league.
So asinine the various leagues continue this kind of penalization. This stings a league-minimum guy in the NFL, but Ant? What’s even happening here? Why bother? I obviously dislike penalizing players for critiquing their (collective) employer, which, given the newsworthiness should be part of the whole game, but what’s accomplished by this for *anyone*?
They should’ve knocked $25,000 off for “but not the woman”.
You got the money, what’s the hold up?
If only they took these fines to help improve the absolute dog shit officiating.
