6. Just gotta correct something ~ not only did Darnold not have 6 INT worthy plays vs Jacksonville, he actually played great outside 2 throws. One INT was a good ball that got tipped, one literally hit the ground but was called an INT.

Kwesi could easily create a 2 year $70m extension that would pay Sam $41m in 2025, but only have a net $7m cap hit in 2025 – just using the same model as his current deal (with a $40m signing bonus). Also factor in that Sam will want to stay – so a team friendly deal is likely. McCarthy is only 21. There is zero rush for him. 15. I have changed my mind on signing slinging Sammy. When McCarthy has fully recovered and depending on what the coaches see in the two. If Sam is playing great but the coaches see more in McCarthy, they could trade Sam for some nice draft capital.

23. Sometimes, your fling turns out to be your soulmate…Darnold and KOC and the Vikings are perfectly matched. At a minimum, they should tag Sam. Ideally, they resign him.
