I stand with demeco and cj!
I think the majority of fans do support them and recognize it’s been a slump year.
What’s going to be *very* telling will be what changes do as make this offseason to the coaching staff. Do they have the balls to move on from Slowick, or at a *bare* minimum, the offensive line coach?
DeMeco seems like a “soft” coach, so if he can hold coaches accountable in the offseason, that will be a big perception boost to many who are disappointed.
People actually want them gone? lol. I haven’t heard that. Slowik, on the other hand, needs a very close review. I can look past the strange play calling but what is truly unacceptable is the dismal failure of offensive line coaching. That put cjs health in jeopardy and that can’t be acceptable. There’s enough talent on the offensive line—the coaching needs to be addressed.
The amount of haterade in the sub is insane. We are in year two of a rebuild and have won the division back to back years.
Losing tank is going to hurt in the playoffs but no reason we can be competitive with any team from what I have seen this season.
Everyone is mega butt hurt we didn’t beat chiefs or play the ravens in meaningless games.
Whoever wants this two gone are idiots! Prob a bandwagon fan.
My thing is the O-line coach should have been fired like week 8. Then it’s up to Slowik to get someone to teach them better for what he wants…if not He has till the end of the season before he gets let go too. This was a high expectation year and the line has been mostly healthy compared to last year.
The real question will be “will Demeco fire his friend Slowick?” This could be the death knell to Slowick’s career. The chances of getting another shot to run another offense are slim. Plus Demeco asked Slowick to stay. On a personal level there is a chance he gives his friend a second opportunity to redeem his career.
I think the biggest thing they need to fix other than the offensive line is CJ Stroud’s attitude on game days. This entire year when the camera has been on him he looks like he’s in a catatonic state with that sad pouting face. Someone needs to sit him down and tell him that he is the leader of this team and that his attitude spreads like wildfire during games. The players look to him as their leader, and how he goes they go. It’s alright to be mad or down on yourself after a mistake, but he just has to stop letting every little thing affect him for an entire game because it shows not only in his face, and body language, but it also translates to how he’s playing on the field. I don’t know what his issue is this year other than being annoyed by the lack of time in the pocket, but something has to change and it 100% starts with him. That and he needs to look at Patrick Mahomes and how he uses his legs when nobody is open.
Sure, DeMeco changed the culture…to one of excuses and a lack of accountability. How’s that working out for us? We scratch out wins against losing teams and get embarrassed by winning ones. Cool.
Totally agree.
Can we stop this “I’m more of a fan than you” because you either have been a fan longer or you refuse to critically challenge the organization nonsense? Frustrated fans have a right to be frustrated, it does not diminish their commitment and willingness to support the team. Not only with their attention, but with their time and most importantly their finances. After each win it seems like someone is asking what it will take to fill NRG and how fans shouldn’t sell their tickets, but then when the losses roll in it’s, “You’re not a real fan”.
I haven’t seen anyone call for DeMeco or CJ to go. But Slowik I see a lot. And whoever the OLine coach is. The defense has shown flashes of brilliance with edge rushing and ball hawking. But damn we got exposed by the Ravens. We couldn’t score, they wore our defense out. They’re built for the new NFL. Back to power football.
Who tf wants them gone? Anyone who thinks CJ and Demeco should be out are crazy. Just a down year, but let’s also be real about the expectations THEY set. They were the ones who were saying the ultimate goal is a chip. We were t he likes to win the division last year, and then they went in on big free agents. It’s totally fair to be disappointed.
I stand with him as well I just feel like they should be doing better than what they are
