Jim Harbaugh isn’t a play caller neither is Mike Tomlin you don’t always need a HC to be a play caller sometimes you need a head coach to just run the show and know how to hire people
In my opinion, moving off AP isn’t the right move. If we are getting a new coach, it has to be a sure fire. I believe, finding the best OC for AP should be our priority. Starting again has been the Raiders thing for a long time. Can we stick with some consistency before moving on to the next thing. Nobody want to come here because you here for 2 years and then it’s on to the next.
Can you make a video of what AP has done good in the past 2 years. Compared to what Josh McDaniel and John Gruden has done good on there 2 years.
Thanks for the breakdown. I did not have all the facts correct. We need an OC not a better AP. Head Coach as OC has been proven formula
Luke Getsy was not why the Raiders lost games. 31.8% of their game 1 starters on IR, highest in the league is why they lost. That and piss poor QB play, turnovers on O and lack of turnovers on D. If Luke getsy was the OC in Detroit, they would be 13 & 2, maybe 12 & 3. It's about players. And AP making mistake after mistake with regard to time and distance situations.
Hondo said it a month ago about Vrable.
Kyle Williams on Washington State is him.
Why would we hire another defensive head coach? Is the franchise that stoopid? Unreal this crap even gets talked about
Was not a fan of AP but once Mark Davis hired the man he needs to give AP a fair chance (Min. 2years). Let’s think of the implication this firing can have. You literally are letting players and Coaches know that if things don’t go your way year 1 you’re out and this will lead to bad culture that will affect free agents and coaches coming in.
We hire vrabel we drafting jeanty. He fed Derrick Henry.
If The Raiders fire AP they'll be garbage for the next 4 or 5 seasons. I'll find something else to do on Sunday 👽
If Vrabel is the HC next season, then he will draft a RB and get a veteran qb. He is good friends with ARod. He was forced to draft Will Levis when he was Tennessee. Vrabel is definitely the best option if we can’t land Ben Johnson.
Only the raiders would give him less years than mcdaniels😭😭 Raider fans are brain dead lmaooo
No more ex patriots smh.
“In the next two years, Dan Campbell is likely to be fired” – bro, what are you talking about? Also, you completely omitted the Titans getting rid of AJ Brown as being a factor in their decline under Vrabel. You’re way too committed to this OCs being the best HC talking point
At this point they minus well win. Sheduer could have helped a lot. Dont really see anyone else from the draft being as impactful.
With injured or poor QB play, 2022 & 2023, Vrabrel won 7 then 6 games. What's he going to do with AOC/and no Derek Henry?
AP is one of the worst coaches we've ever had. 4 out of his 5 wins last year were against backup or 3rd string Qbs
Richard Sherman mustva got AP's ear and pulled on it. Hard. Was given a job he acts like he earned now.
So many teams covet and would do anything for the 1st overall pick… like trade three 1st rounds picks for it, and what do we do? Pride ourselves on meaningless 3, 4, 5 win seasons. At least AP and his supporters. It seems some don't care about some little word called compromise i.e. business decisions. The irony.
Hope the raiders win this week so I can just skip watching next season entirely
Carr never had a defense.. Hard to win alone.. His stats speak volumes to his talent… Needed a defense to win like most QB's
Mike Vrabel..another Hoodie retread. We've tried this guys. Get the next guy in the Shanahan tree.
Everyone forgets Ryan Day is about to be fired if he doesn't win it all & Vrabel is on top of that list to be HC at his alma mater
People are posting like AP already got fired last i saw vrabep was the favorite to go to the saints can we wait to make headlines like thos till hes gone no need to speculate
Who's continuing to set the expectation among fans that the team should continue to try losing?
“Apparently Brock Bowers CAN break 2 records” “I didn’t like the Brock Bowers pick bc it takes a long time for TE’s to develop” “Brock Bowers should be a generational TE” ……
Sanjit….. give it a break!!! Aside from the OLine your takes are FREEEEEZING COLD!!!
I don’t understand you people….
I play in a dynasty league w my buddies & I got bounced last year in the 2nd round of playoffs & I moved heaven & earth to get Brock Bowers in my draft. WHO KNEW that the greatest TE since Travis Kelce is in the draft….. what people don’t understand is Travis Kelce was not hyped coming into the draft…. That comp is to his careeer in the nfl as a TE….. Brock bowers will eclipse even a QB for the next 10 years for Raider Nation! Brock Bowers is the fucking truth & we need to stop acting like this is new news. Yall are idiots. I have a few buddies who are charger fans & I love The Pervert HOWEVER I think that the biggest mistake the chargers made was firing Tommy!
The GM told AP not to tank and crosby mad because he wanted sanders
Well, all we get out of the raiders nowadays is drama and as the drama turns, they'll do something stupid cause that's all they know how to do nowadays. There's no cohesion with this team anymore
This is easy to see if you get a new rookie quarterback. You have to have an offensive minded coach simple
We got super lucky being able to draft Brock at 13. Definitely a franchise changing player. I wanted to draft Hunter this year and Dillion Gabriel in second round. Hunter is a franchise changing player also. Then sign a free agent QB, let Dillion sit a year and off we go. We got a ton of money in cap space.
Now I want Jeanty in first round but after this weekend we will drop further in draft and hopefully be able to grab Abdul Carter at 9.
Also, Brock Bowers is only 7 catches from breaking the Raiders all time receptions record in one season. Dude is a beast. He's a combo of Rob Gronkowski, Mark Bavaro, Tony Gonzalez.
Trade Crosby for Ben Johnson
Trade for JJ McCarthy and Hire Ben Johnson
Bowers….a shining light in a damn dark season!
Raiders haven't been relevant since early 1980's this is so frustrating! We had a few years in early 2000's but lets be honest. The committment to excellence hasnt existed in 40 years.
Different era though. Ditka played when there was only 14 games. Howsomever, go watch Mike Ditka play tight end, different personalities of course but #89 and all business. Man this year sucks but this guy is the best TE the Raiders have had since Waller. Waller would break tackles. Carr might of beat the Raiders. Raiders should win now. O'Connell is much better QB than Rattler. Rattler is a rattled run around with his head cut off kinda QB. O'Connell is a pocket passer in need of a RB. Really, one thing he does well is play action. Can play action without a running game. At this point why not see if Laube can run between the tackles. If he fumbles so what. You've got to experiment with the OL to see if it's the RB, the line or both.
Same old song and dance with the raiders. New coach, new qb, who dis.. every fcking season 😂
Bet the under in this!!!
Why not fire him now!!! It makes no sense
Sometimes I wish I can press mute and pause on raider news because the sporadic decision making with this organization stressful
You just say anything that comes to mind I think you just like making videos 🤡
Vrabel calls plays??
AP has essentially been a rookie HC this season, and he has made his fair share of errors. But as was said, the bigger mistakes was hiring Getsy, and starting Minshew. Of course the injuries were huge, but those aren't on any coach. I'd give AP another season with everything else kind of in place. Sure, AOC may be a bridge QB for a developing rookie–we just don't know how all of that will play out.
Not having the #1 pick just made the Head Coaching job a LOT less desirable if they fire AP, Ben Johnson most definitely isnt coming here without that security of his choice at QB
I just can't wait until after the draft and free agency periods so I can be optimistic about the Raiders again. I have faith in TT. I have a feeling AP was told to tank after GM15 didn't workout. Seems like AP figured out the agreement wasn't gonna happen so AP is ready to TRY to win every week now.
