  1. Jamie Erdahl from Good Morning Football basically said that she (along with other reporters) met with the team the day of the game and everyone was exhausted. “I’m not telling any trade secrets. What we saw in our meetings was exactly what we saw on the sideline on Christmas Day”. “I asked him: how are you doing, man? How is Tank? And he said: “I feel like that injury was two minutes ago”. He was still feeling the after effects of Tank Dell injury. I’m worried about this Texans team”.

So yeah. Our worries were not unwarranted. 😢

  2. Love GMFB, but I hate hearing them talk about stuff where they should be waaay more critical of the NFL. It’s the league’s show and their only job is to make the NFL look good.

There are obvious self-inflicted wounds showing their ugly heads, but having 3 games in 11 days and a bye week in week 14 is the perfect recipe for a meltdown.

  3. Emotional young man is a fair way to say he’s checked out. He has a long way to go individually and as a leader. I trust he will get there, but when you constantly preach to others and then proceed to moap around all week and score 0 points on offense, you start to lose a locker room of men in a performance based league.

  4. NFLPA needs to take push back against this 3 games in 11 days. It was even too much for a fan to see my team play that much in under two weeks., and I’m not out there taking the hits. And then to make it happen during Christmas. These players are humans too. This probably turned their holiday into a terrible chore.

Bad teams and good teams aside, the NFL succeeds because there is an inherent sense of parity across the league. Any given Sunday and all that. That’s in part due to a very limited season where every game counts because there are so few. If they start pushing players to perform with more frequency there will be huge burnout and more absolute blowout games like we saw all this last week and viewership will plummet.
