After watching Bengals OT win over Broncos, I’m 100% sold on Higgins. If he hits free agency, let’s get our guy.

  1. I have no problems with the player and id be thrilled to sign him, but he is constantly injured. I just don’t know if it’s in our best interest to sign a constantly injured wide receiver to a contract for more than what Terry gets.

  2. Bengals may tag him. However, for the first time in like forever the Commanders are a destination team. Players/Coaches/Execs want to come here.

  3. People really think he’s coming back to Cinnci after they played around with him and his money.

He’s as good as gone and Jayden is gonna draw WR’s to Washington to play opposite Terry

  4. They shouldve been did that…(yes, I understand what I just said is not grammatically correct).

  5. He balled out tonight. But I’d be surprised to see AP sign him for the $ he’s gonna require. AP seems like a very deliberate, careful, process-oriented type. He really doesn’t seem to like moves that can single-handedly handcuff him from pivoting in the future. Not to mention his repeated statements about building through the draft.

The only way he feels comfortable enough to shell out in free agency is for guys the staff know very very well (Biadasz) / ones he thinks others are devaluing (Luvu) – even then, those deals have outs and aren’t top of the market. He knows the true blue chip players don’t usually leave their original teams / that free agency generally requires over-spending.

If you have confidence in yourself as a top talent evaluator, would you be doubting your own ability to get the right ingredients on the cheap through picks? It seems like the pool of talented, ready-made WR entering the league has never been bigger due to the spread of 7-on-7 and emphasis on the passing game as a whole. Much harder to find immediate, proven contributors on the o-line these days.

  6. We have the cap space and we definitely need another wr to pair with Terry, go get him

  7. He’s going to make a fuck ton of money.

I wish there were more options for FA WRs next offseason. I don’t think we’ll sign Tee but I can definitely see us signing an older guy like Hopkins, Cooper, or Allen and drafting a high upside guy on day 2 or something like that.

  8. I’ve been on board with that since the season started…he ain’t gonna stay they can’t afford him & they already have his replacement on the roster…upside is here..let him Terry & JD5 go on a 4-5yr run LFG!!!

  9. I trust whatever our FO decides, and while Higgins could be great, he’s injured quite a bit and can sometimes disappear for stretches… then he has games like tonight. So idk.lol

Yeah I’d open the vault for him…. He’d look awesome across from Terry.

  11. If we’re going to spend top free agent money it needs to be on an offensive lineman or edge, not an oft injured wr2 who has been playing with the most accurate qb in the league.

He will be overpriced and this is a great wr2 draft.
