I wasn’t born into Washington fandom, so my first year as a fan was 1993ish. My first NFL season as a father has been my favorite season yet!

  1. Same-ish. I’m 39 and vaguely remember watching the 92 Super Bowl with my dad. I remember thinking that every NFL season ended by the Redskins winning the Super Bowl, lol. My kids are nine and 11 years old and all they know about this franchise is that it is a bizarre and usually disappointing club to watch. So this year has definitely been something new for all of us.

  2. That’s awesome I’m in mass raising a commanders fan hes three and calls it W time 😂😂😂

  3. You’re living the dream OP! Not a parent yet but one day! I’m in my 30s too and moved to this country in 2002 and became a full time fan in 2004. I can still remember Brunell’s TD to moss in 2005. That play and the 6-4 start we had with Jason Campbell were *the* only favorite memories I had until RG3’s rookie year lmao. Finally gave up on the team (and the NFL in general) when Kirk left and came back halfway through last year (when I found out Sam Howell is part asian lmao). But I came back just in time 😮‍💨

  4. I’m 29 and its baffling and infuriating to think that franchises like the browns, raiders, jets, dolphins, chargers, cards, titans, etc have all had at least one if not several 10+ win seasons since the new millenium and yet we couldn’t figure it out even when the nfc east was dogshit.

And cheers to you and your kid!

  5. Man this is so great. My boys are 10, 11 and we’re also about to all celebrate our first 11 win season. In the parking lot of the game as we speak. Enjoy the game with the little guy.

  6. I’m with my 11m and we’re so excited. I’ve lived in my current city for 13 years, have never seen anyone wear a commanders jersey or anything until now. I saw the second person ever here wearing commanders apparel and you bet your ass I got excited and cheered. Normally with my tism I ignore people, but it was just too exciting.
