Mike McDaniel on Tua Tagovailoa’s injury:
“Ultimately he absolutely wanted to play. Wasn’t a pain tolerance thing. He not only was super susceptible to a much more significant injury but a major factor was the lack of strength due to the injury and his inability to protect himself and his teammates within the pocket doing the things he normally has to do. From a medical perspective, it was not an option for him to play.”

  1. Tyler Huntley deserves credit for playing a good game against the woeful Browns. Let’s hope Tua plays next week. The Jets would love to keep the Phins out of the playoffs. But if the Phins make the playoffs our current OL is clearly not ready to compete and it’s another one and out. The Browns are a bad team but our defense today deserves credit in any case. I remember when a sizable chunk of the fan base was hoping for DW to join the Phins. LOL. Kind of hard to believe the Phins are still in the hunt after such a disastrous start.

  2. Rookie Bo Nix against a hall of fame defensive coordinator next week and well rested back ups trying to make a name for themselves…. gonna be closer than people think. Broncos 20 Chiefs 24. Dolphins 23 Jets 16.

  3. Tyler Huntley, the premiere case that ANYONE really can do the shit Tua does. His completion %? 85%. 85%. I said it twice to emphasize the point. ANYONE, that is good enough to make an NFL roster, can make the SAME EXACT throws Tua makes. Tua is NOT the big time, "accurate" QB everyone keeps making him out to be, and Tyler Huntley just proves that.

I hope everyone can see this and stop thinking Tua is going to lead us to some mythical place, because it simply won't happen.

That said, Tyler DOES have the arm strength to get the ball down the field to Tyreek. Let's put that part to the test and see what we got with him. He might be what McDaniel needs for his offense.
