Similar to the 2014 draft with Manziel and Bridgewater. Quincy thinks if the Browns get the #1 pick, they should trade down to #2, leveraging the Titans and Raiders against the Giants for more picks. Then draft DE Abdul Carter, who is his highest prospect and a sure thing.

If we don’t get a QB at the top of the draft, and sign a veteran QB, we’re not going to be this high in the draft to get a QB again. Gotta identify one and go get him. Seen too many drafts were the Browns were at the top of the draft and too scared to pick one in the top ten
Agree. I would trade top pick for a package of guys. So agree with you.
Cool, many people here also thought Watson was a bonafide superstar going through a slump to start the season. There were people here telling me DTR was obviously going to be great after a couple of preseason games. Oh, that baker was trash and a lost cause. No idea how those people still trust their instincts on anything…
I feel like every time the browns are in a position to draft really high it’s always during the years where there are no “can’t miss” quarterbacks.
I agree they need a left tackle
I would take Travis Hunter, or trade down
Ward and Sanders are going to be busts
We don’t know if either are franchise QBs. I’m fairly certain the so-called experts are as good a a coin flip with their predictions. If you doubt it, look at the predraft comments about the 3 of the best QBs in the league– Mahomes, Jackson, and Allen.
The biggerbissue is the Browns aren’t ready for a young QB. We need to shore up the line and get younger for a year before investing in the position. I think we all are pretty sure we’re going to be in a position to draft QB in 2026.
Can Ward is gonna be a stud
We have taken a QB in the top 21 picks twice since 1999. Every other top pick we had involved front offices getting cute, trading down, thinking they’re smarter than everyone else. That’s how you end up with the Manziel, Kesslers, and Weedens of the world. Perpetual mediocracy at best and yall are cheering for it. You don’t win a SB with a third round pick.
Yeah no. Browns need to take a QB. Legit a QB on a rookie deal is the only way we end the Watson fiasco without being completely dreadful. We aren’t going to be able to pay any vet who plays well for us a second deal. We can have the best defense of all time, but without an offense that can consistently get a first down or not turn it over, we aren’t winning anything.
Blowing it up is the only other option and if thats the case, trade everyone and pick your QB next year.
Draft a left tackle.
Offer the #1 pick to the Vikings for JJ McCarthy
Let’s be honest. Nobody on this subreddit knows a damn thing about how good these first round QBs are gonna be.
Stefanski needs a QB who can operate behind center and not exclusively out of shotgun. Also, probably not a bad idea getting the top OL
Sanders is no where near as talented as his father, which makes dealing with his bullshit worse. Ward is only getting looked at because of how horrendous this qb class is. Neither should realistically go until the 3rd. But you’ll have owners who feel they need to reach and overpay for a mid tier qb. So naturally, Haslam will draft one of the two.
Please don’t trade up to pick #22 if they fall any other pick than that one…
I’m sorry with this roster and these holes Q cannot be serious about drafting a fucking edge
I’m glad the draft is figured out now that we all know the exact order everyone should be drafted, and are never wrong in our rankings.
You draft graham or Carter and call it a day!!!
It’s a bad take and the take is irrelevant anyway.
The front office has already indicated they are going for Sanders or Ward by playing DTR. If we were going BPA, we’d have let Jameis ride out the season. We probably would’ve beat Miami yesterday and still drafted around 6 through 8.
We are not tanking for a defensive lineman with the worst offense in the league. The lowest points scored of any team this year. We scored more points during our 1-15 season.
Despite our offense being an absolute dumpster fire, our defense has given up less points than 8-8 Cincinnati.
Our punter is leading the league in punts, by a lot. The defense is playing tired.
I respect Carrier’s opinion and he puts out a lot of content, but his takes are sometimes all over the place. In the preseason he said our ceiling was Super Bowl champion.
I don’t get paid to project this shit.
Just for the love of God give us something.
Serious question. Whats all the hate on Ward? He’s played fantastic at two stops. Arm talent, great escapability, seems to make plays when his team needs it. I get the sitting out the 2nd half of the bowl game but thats a result of a toxic NIL college football environment. I hear a lot of talk about turn overs he only had 7 picks in 454 passes to 39 TDs. I’m really not getting the hate.
Great, another terrible talent evaluator wants to share their opinion on QBs.
Quincy fell off
There is so much more in the evaluation process before you can determine neither of these guys have franchise QB potential. Private workouts, interviews, combine, pro days, potentially the senior bowl, the draft is still 4 months away. And if that’s the decision you land on, you better be damn confident.
I want a QB first round. A little something to add to the collection
Abdul Carter is nice but isn’t a sure thing by any means. I’m also of mindset that cam and shadeur do not fit what we want to do here. If we do somehow end up with the first pick I would like to field trade offers as a first option and depending where we land grab the best player available whether it’s jeanty, milroe, etc.
I agree. Use the year to get younger and clean up the cap. Draft a quarterback the following year when the draft class will be better.
you need a QUARTERBACK!!!!
Draft Jeanty. Sign a bridge guy and wait for a better QB draft imo
If our team sucks with Sanders or Ward, we’ll just get another high pick anyway. I say we do it, one or the other
Sanders has a lot of NFL QB tools. He’s refined and I think people see that as something that limits his ceiling. People also aren’t fond of his father, I think a lot of people have skewed opinions on Sanders. I don’t think he’s a generational talent but I think he can be a very good NFL QB.
Cam Ward imo is a much bigger risk.
Especially if they go to the browns. This is the place qbs go to die. Unless you manage to get out before your career is over like Baker.
Only options are trotting DW back out there, finding a old vet QB or drafting one with a top 3 pick.
Think I’ll gladly take the 3rd option.
I’m not at all trying to be a homer, but I like OSU quarterback Will Howard in round 2. Use the first round pick for the best O-lineman or playmaker.
