Hey Everyone – I previously owned a 2012 Giroux Winter Classic Jersey and unfortunately lost it about 2 years ago.
I'm looking on ebay to purchase one because it was my favorite sports jersey. I came accross this jersey but the stitching is pretty frayed all over the back. Anyone have an eye to know if this is actually authentic? The tag looks legit but I wouldn't expect this much fraying from an authetnic jersey. Thanks for any help.

Looks fishy to me. Nameplate crooked and the whole in the R looks funky. Maybe the jersey is real with a poor aftermarket customization, but I’m leaning towards fake. In rough condition anyways, would save up for a higher quality jersey with less wear if I were in your shoes.
Fake. The R is a dead giveaway. Also those knockoffs start to fray like that after they get washed. The numbers and crest are not felt, which is the biggest red flag of all.
Fake as it gets. The numbers should be flat and look like felt, the small 8’s on the shoulders will be black with solid white backgrounds without any cutouts exposing another color, and there are currently none in size small on EBay if that’s the size you need. There are two XLs currently for sale you can reference that are legit.
It’s a fake. Aside from what others have commented, no way that letter stitching (how the letters connect with a string) would pass quality control.

In general the jersey laces covering the nhl shield and Reebok size 48 are easy tells for a fake.
100% fake, one really easy way to tell beyond the other obvious stuff, is the design of the fight strap stitching
Fake. Buy it if you want some really expensive toilet paper.
