If you’re going to call a player dirty for hitting knees, let them hit in the chest. You disallow all contact above the waist, it will lead to this contact. Would you rather have a headache or a torn ACL? Further, officiating has protected offenses for YEARS saying helmet to helmet when it’s helmet to chest. Shoulder pad to chest. They call any incidental contact remotely close to the head and now you’re wondering why they go low?
