4. Meier major/ejection was an over reaction. But try taking an NHL knee to the thigh full speed. Haula is a clown, couldn’t even wait 2 minutes after the goal to go head hunting. Ignores the puck to chase orlov behind the net. Orly cleaned his nose without leaving the ice , can’t say he did anything wrong. Should be a great playoff series

5. Still so pissed about the refs last night, ur right, totally stole the game. I feel like we have gotten shafted a couple other times this year, but this was one of the worst reffed games I’ve ever seen. Also, can we just play MacD every game. Tatar isn’t bringing anything and MacD doesn’t hurt us, record is good with him in and we need additional protection.

However, that clip of my words, and the calls in question would go viral, and shine the spotlight on those refs, which might also result in disciplinary action against the refs. Maybe 2025, we will finally get that 4 in a row.

We literally had sticks being slashed up 2 stories out of our hands all night long with ZERO calls until the 3rd period!! I call bullshit!! 22. Unfortunately it is the result I expected. All things considered, CAR was 13-4-0 at home entering last night. Do I think the Devils gave themselves a chance to win this game? Not really with how many shots they were giving up. However, with a game tied at 2, the officiating pretty much decided this one. I did feel that the Devils could have stolen a loser point if the momentum wasn't turned by an egregious call.

26. All pro sports are rigged. Betting rules these games as the corporations that run these games (NFL, NBA, NHL) make more from gambling than from all other resource streams combined. The officiating in pro games is getting worse because that helps with the rigging. Period.

27. Sorry dude, gonna be a long comment. First off, let’s talk about the Necas hit. Reminiscent of Scotty taking out another 88. The similarity between the two? Both were a clean hit where the other player was skating with their head down. Hockey 101 – keep your damn head up. If you’re going to lie on the ice like that, honestly I think it should be called “diving.” Might seem harsh, but discourages players from doing it in the future, so if someone is actually hurt, it doesn’t need to be second guessed. If you can come back almost immediately, you were FAKING!!! 2nd the Haula jumping incident. At NO/NONE/NADA should there not have been a penalty on the douche canoe that jumped him. Someone needs to stick an apple in that horse faced coach Brin D’Amor’s mouth, because the gall to assume that your thug doing that should result in a power play for your team is ludicrous. In fact he may need a psychiatric evaluation, but then again most likely not because of 3, this definitely screams scandal to me. Carolina, (and I hate them too,) is actually a decent team, but that record is crazy for any team. Maybe if you had prime Gretzky? But they don’t. They don’t even have prime Sid or Ovy. The fact that the governor of NC said that the “Devils were playing dirty,” shouts typical political redirection strategy so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was involved as well. (That or he’s just stupid and doesn’t know hockey, but is chiming in to jump on the bandwagon.) But my guess is that your assumption is correct, and someone somewhere is profiting from this blatantly obvious poor officiating.

28. Well Ace, its hard to win games when the refs are against you but at least we tried to fight back. The Timo ejection was bs because he wasn't even injured he faked it because he came back out 3 minutes later and played perfectly fine. next thing is yes the hurricanes are 12-1 with these officials which i think the league should look into but we all know they wont do anything. And what makes it worse you can see that they sided with the canes over the devils the entire game and on top of the the GOVENOR of Carolina is calling us dirty and is happy we don't play them anymore. anyway lets put this game behind us and prepare for a long upcoming road trip in the west. 35. I agree with you about McDermid. Tatar is pretty useless and Kurtis should've been in there last night. Keefe should've had the foresight to know they would be pissed off and going to do whatever they could to win that game.

38. I thought officiating was bad at times last season, but this goes above and beyond and obviously so. The governor feeling the need to weigh in alone is suspect in and of itself and practically demands your investigation, Ace! Follow the money. And Dermy needs to be in these games.

    Also, I too didn't think the Haula hit was dirty. Niether did the refs, as it wasnt called until after the scuffle. Orlov was losing his balance and his head was lower to the ice than normal.

    I do finally feel like we are a better team, but still do not want to see them in the first round. We may get a Hughes v Aho fight though….
