Wedgewood walking after game with boot on foot

  1. I’m no doctor but I hope this means the ACL/MCL is ok. I’ve seen those happen in person and you aren’t walking within a couple hours

  2. Beds said that wedge will miss time but we will see how much. But a boot is better then an air cast or something

  3. I was told by the doctors in the game thread he was dead, so this is an improvement.

  4. It seemed more like he was grabbing low last night when he went down so my first thought was ankle instead of knee. I’ve had ligament injuries on both knees and while I have been able to walk I never got a boot and crutches would seem more likely the first night. I’ve also had several ankle sprains, and those they did give me boots for. So this still feels like ankle to me.

TBD if that’s positive. I’ve had ankle sprains that lasted several months and I’ve had sprains that took less than 2 months, but I’ve never landed as awkwardly as it looked last night so no idea. Wedgewood is also significantly bigger than me, which I don’t know how proportionate ankles are to a person’s size when it comes to this kind of thing.

Hard to know if this is good yet but it maybe doesn’t seem as bad as a worst case scenario.

  5. Obviously everyone deals with pain differently but seeing him roll around in obvious pain made me feel a bit better that it wasn’t any sort of tear, but I was worried about some sort of hyperextended issue.

After the replay it definitely looked like an ankle issue so hopefully a sprain or rolled and nothing broken that keeps him out too long.

  6. High ankle/knee sprain most likely. Would bet more on the knee sprain, probably similar to what happened with binnington in our playoff series in 22

  7. Obviously this seems pretty good for not being ACL or any knee things, but i still have fears of achilles. Benson fell on the back of his leg and ankle as much as the side. Im REALLY hoping its not but cant forget its possible. Im with you all hoping its just regular ankle injury and hes able to recover with no setbacks

  8. “Sealed a 5-4 win” is no one capable of getting the score and results of this game right?

  9. I’m probably in the minority, but the injury itself didn’t look that bad to me. The aftermath certainly did, but it looked like Benson fell more on his ankle and missed a lot of the leg.
