Why are the Browns sticking with Andrew Berry & Kevin Stefanski?

  1. Because Jimmy is too arrogant to admit that he royally fucked up with Watson. Now he’s digging his heels in. I’ve been a browns fan my entire 39 years, but have decided to spend more time and money on the Cavs and Guards. Who are the Browns playing this week anyways??? 👀

  2. Stefanski saved both their jobs when he pulled an absolute miracle out of thin air and somehow got that team to the playoffs last year. Unfortunately this front office continues to serve Stefanski a shit salad of a roster and I’d rather go full rebuild with a new front office who is on board with keeping Stefanski. I don’t want Berry anywhere near the design process of our QB/offense of the future.

  3. Stefanski is actually a good coach. Unfortunately the cards he was dealt this past season were absolutely garbage

  4. I believe Stefanski got far too much credit in 2023. Hopkins was incredible last year and prob won 4 games for the browns. I would love to see the Browns swap him out for Vrabel. They have not even been close to competitive in 2024. How can a veteran team, be an almost 20 point dog with such a great coach ?

  5. I think because Jimmy knows that Berry didn’t make the call to bring Watson in so he’s not going to throw him overboard for that.

Stefanski has been a good coach overall. If he stuck with Hue after 1-31 he’s definitely sticking with KS another year at least.

  6. They’re linked together in the eyes of ownership and likely one won’t be let go without the other being canned as well.

The Haslams spent ten years hiring and firing coaches and GMs and learned to have a little more patience and let a young coach and GM make mistakes, learn, and grow into the positions.

They’re running out of time and the leash will no doubt be shorter the next couple seasons, but I think ownership is probably pissed about the Watson contract, but I also think the entire organization is saying “my bad” for the Watson trade because nobody could know he would go from a top 5 QB TO the worst QB in the league.

  7. Sigh… if the Browns did what this sub always calls for, theyd be a perennial 1 win team. Incredible the amount of armchair GMs and HCs who couldnt explain basic concepts of the job if their lives depended on it.

Im old enough to remember when this sub wanted Josh McDaniels or Urban Meyer as HC and how upset yall were for missing out on them. Just a reminder.

  8. Browns fans are attached to Stefanski because we went to the playoffs twice with him. First time in 2020 and we beat the Steelers which was awesome. He then proceeded to run our franchise QB out of town and had two losing seasons. 2023 we went to the playoffs with 5 QBs but we also had the best defense in the NFL. Now 2024, we are 3-14. That is not acceptable.

He needs to go. He is more of an OC than a head coach. We need someone that can build a winning culture. It’s hard to let go of your first love but Browns fans need to accept that he just isn’t a good coach. No better time to change since everything fell apart and i don’t trust him or AB to rebuild this team.

  9. The team still plays hard. That tells me all I need to know about KS. He hasn’t lost the locker room. I don’t think he’s a bad coach. You can throw out all the names you want, no one is winning with that qb room.

  10. Probably because they got extensions.

I don’t see the point of keeping them around when they’re probably both fired next year.

Seems like a waste of time to me.

And ppl preaching continuity are the same ones that thought Hue Jackson deserved a third season.

They’ve had one winning season in the past four years.

  11. Because it’s the Haslam’s fault for the Baker Mayfield situation and Watson deal!
