So didn’t Bo Nix, JJ McCarthy, and Michael Penix jr, but desperation got the best out of them. He and other prospects like Milroe are banking on team desperation to get taken high. The concrete estimation of Shedeur is post combine as we’ll see his athletic limitations. Biggest issues with Shedeur is holding the ball for too long, isn’t all that athletic(weird knowing his dad is Deion Sanders), has good arm talent but okay strength at best, and he takes unnecessary sacks taking you back damn near 15 yards at times. I use to think he was QB1, but I’ve changed my mind on him. This is just a bad year to be QB needy.
Id be okay if we used a 2nd or somehow a 3rd on him. That way, we can not waste a 1st and get other talent.
Someone will pick him in the first just to take a shot in the lottery and because of positional value and needs
The only thing worse for us would be trading up to pick him at this point.
Been saying that a lot of the hype around Shedeur is from teams that want other teams to draft him. It’s peak lying season.
He lost me in that presser where he basically threw his O Line under the bus. He wasnt wrong. But you’re the QB. For good or ill, you get all the credit, you shoulder all the blame. Thats a leader.
Half of Raider Nation trying to convince us that drafting and trading up for a 1st Round QB, even if they have a Day 2 grade, will magically make us contenders, just because they’re using 1st Round capital.
lotta people on this sub gonna get a cold dose of reality when he tumbles down draft boards this offseason
A lot of people in this sub not only wanted to pick Shadeur in the first, they wanted the team to lose to get him with the 1st overall. They’re hidden right now but I got the usernames.
Trying to drive the price down to have a shot to pick him up still.
I love the effort Tom, but that isn’t going to work.
My question to everyone here would be, let’s say we end up with pick #8 and Sanders is still on the board…would everyone be more upset if we drafted him at 8 or passed on him at 8?
Not surprising after that BYU game
But plenty of teams still do have a R1 grade and I bet he’s still going top 10, maybe even #1 depending on how desperate someone is
No new info here
Ive never seen a more pathetic group of people than those who were in here crying after we beat the Jaguars
This is the time GMs will “leak” info to reporters to help bring the draft stock down of a player. Makes them easier to draft. It happens every single year.
Please don’t be idiots and believe any of this.
Reports are tools for teams and GMs to push a narrative.
While it’s lying season, I don’t think that’s an unfair evaluation
This can’t be right. Tom Brady personally taught him how to be an NFL quarterback, and Shedeur is going to save the Raiders all by himself. And if he can’t, he and his dad will.

If he falls to us around 8-12, sure why not. If not, BPA!
Pro days and the combine will tell us who’s really worth the hype, and who is overrated
Great news for us. I’m not the biggest Sanders fan, but he can operate very well within the right system, and Both Bowers and Jakobi operate within that system as well and can be a huge safety blanket for him.
This is what make this subs melt down two weeks ago even more laughable!
WE CANT EVEN TANK !
Meanwhile a majority of this sub cheered for every loss we had this season in hopes that taking him first overall would fix everything.
If you actually watch the guy play it becomes pretty obvious pretty quickly he’s got no elite traits. QBs with no elite traits aren’t first round players. Doesn’t mean they can’t be taken at that point but it only gets progressively worse the earlier you take them or the more assets you give up to get them if you trade up.
The only one is Ward but who cares, this is said about most 1st round QBs just like last year
Smoke season has officially begun lmaoo before the season is even over. As a few others have said, this happens all the time. Teams put out anonymous info to try to get their desired player to drop (could even be the Raiders, who knows where’s he’ll land? He could very well still be the top pick. All it takes is one.)
All that said, I think it would be very beneficial for Shedeur (and the team that drafts him) to drop some. Too much focus on “we’ll only play in these select places, we’re gonna be the number one pick” yadda yadda. I don’t mind confidence at all, even a little arrogance from a player as long as you back it up, but the League is a different animal. I’m rooting for him to be good, but I think the odds of that increase if he’s humbled a bit in the draft process and gets a little bit of a chip on his shoulder.
The flip flopping in this sub until the draft (and well after) is going to be INSUFFERABLE
