Hoping it’s just a low ankle sprain. No high sprain and no knees please.

I’ll take it. I was expecting season-ending based on his inability to put any weight on it.
Week to week is much better than month to month
Hopefully just a 2-4 week injury. 4 nations tourney from Feb 12th-20th so NHL has a 2 week additional break for players not participating. So if we can limp by a month and change and ride Blackwood hard with a few starts by Miners(or whomever they bring up), might be able to make it through without needing to trade for another backup. Also, the two weeks off will give Blackwood rest so you can lean on him without draining him before the playoffs.
Likely Trent Miner gets the call up from the Eagles to backup Blackwood. He is exempt from waivers.
