  1. AP is not an OC. AP is not a DC. He doesn't call the Offensive plays. He doesn't call the defensive plays. With all the injuries. And the disadvantage of not getting the OC you wanted but the best available, which was not good. What did AP do? He kept the team together. In a horrible season, he kept the team together. A head coach is a motivational speaker. He kept the team together. Build the offensive side of the ball. Get elite offensive coaches. Build the running game, G, OT, RBs.. Reinforce the defense. DT, Safety, DB. This draft has them. 100+ million in cap. #6 overall.

  2. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. All 3 teams in our division have a great coach, franchise qb, and good defenses. Raiders don't have either. Bad free agent signings last year doesn't excite me about the cap space. Only bad teams have that much cap space

  3. Hondo, didn’t get to watch the game today due to work but I appreciate you skipping over the breakdown and getting to your analysis. Really enjoyed the podcast today.

  4. You can't be mad at missing on the record prediction – looking back, it was still the correct call to think we'd finish with a winning record.
The fact is that more than half the teams in the NFL are at a very similar level – if they have good coaching and they're lucky with turnovers and injuries, then they can finish 11-6… if they have bad coaching and bad luck then they can finish 4-13. These mid teams simply cannot compete with a significant negative turnover differential, and the Raiders were at the very bottom of that scale. If we'd started with Turner and O'Connell, and if we'd not lost Koonce before game 1, and if we'd not lost Wilkins after a month, then there's every chance we'd have been fighting the Chargers and Broncos for a wildcard spot, and Adams might even still be in silver and black.

  5. PG is gone for sure. To hell with the salary cap. tom better spend that money this year. Broncos have a chance to play against a qb they pay millions for. Bringing in minshit was a horrible decision. We need to build that oline. Hopefully they don't trade maxx either.

  6. Im 30 and been a fan about 21 years so really ive only seen the Raiders make the post season twice (2016 and 2021). Being a fan has been rough but im here Win or Lose. But for now Im rooting for the man Lamar "Action" Jackson baby!!

  7. Patrik Graham's work was solid, but it wasn't enough. The Raiders' defense, under Graham's coaching, was ranked 26th in 2022, 9th in 2023, and 10th in 2024. These numbers indicate a good defense, but not an elite one. To win the AFC West division, the Raiders need a top 3 elite defense.

  8. Last January, I was more hopeful than when Gruden was rehired. In fact, I was as hopeful as I was in the Gruden Gannon years. Went to my 1st NFL game to Cincinnati to watch The Raiders. Now, I feel similar to most of the 2000's I don't see a QB who is going to make an impact draft or otherwise. Probably have a new coaches loss of some awesome players. Defense will probably be average, no outstanding RB. Just some awesome players on a crappy team that can't compete in their own division. Hey, maybe in another 5-10 years we will better. So, this year I am pessimistic.

  9. Raiders fans hyped themselves all off season but the smart ones knew Minshew and AOC wasnt going to wins games. If you dont have a Qb you dont have a chance in most cases

  10. YouTalk about Vision. The Raiders had one with Gruden this team was moving forward and went to the playoffs. No one could of saw that coming. The McDaniels hire the release of Carr were football malfiesance which was further compounded by the hype surrounding everyone locked into Pierce including Crosby and you! All of the emotion and yelling RAIDERS which was absolutely ridiculous. Not even interviewing Harbough or Vrabel last year was negligent. Pierce is clearly beyond his breadth. The righting of the ship starts with the coaching hire Vrabel will most likely be out of the mix now as he will go to the Patriots. Which leaves McCarthy if he comes free, Moeden, or Coen. Which hopefully could convince graham to stay as all very competent offensive minds.

  11. A QB will not be successful without a dedicated coaching staff around him. Jayden Daniels is proof. Heck, MAHOMES is proof. I'm hoping Brady enhances that part. I'm for giving AP one more year. He HAD to learn from his mistakes this year. If he is fired, it will scare off good coaches. Everyone knows the RAIDERS require TIME to change the culture. STABILITY is essential! They are still parasitic people around Mark Davis since he inherited the team. He has removed some of them as others have burrowed deeper. He will see them soon enough.
AP seeks guidance from experienced coaches/players. That shows he is a LISTENER and will hopefully be better based on who gave him the best information this season. A lot of players got hurt. That has to be remembered and dealt with, too.

  12. Raiders need to pretty much keep everyone on defense and fix the offense and get a quarterback. Why not go for Russell Wilson or Kyler Murphy not a fan of Ward or Sanders. Raiders try to fill in every need that the Raiders need to do better

  13. Hondo I don't understand why you would say cut Aiden he's a good backup and the Raiders need a backup quarterback which he is and he's a decent backup

  14. Hondo thank you for a long hard season. It has been a rough one for me i have been a Raider fan 52 years and i am 65 years old. I hope you have a great 2025 and i am looking forward to hearing you again next year Go Raiders.

  15. I'm not surprised no one is tailgating, and that seats are empty. The Raiders are genuinely sinking into oblivion. The reality is, we have the 4th best coach, OC, and QB in the AFC West. We have the 4th best roster. We have the 4th worst owner in sports. Nothing will change until Raiders beat writers and other media start being critical of the team instead of being "objective" or "fair". The Raiders aren't better after Getsy. They're not better after McDaniels. The fact is this team is the Cleveland browns.

  16. Hondo, let the cat out of the bag. Who was responsible for Kingsbury not coming and settling for Getsy? If this was the front office they should be held accountable and AP should stick for another year. If AP, then time to move on.

  17. If we bring back AP and AOC then our identity is punching bag of the AFC West and our continued success as an NFL farm team will continue. Can't bring back Graham the guy gave waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many players career games and coaches career wins against our "defense" if you can call it that. Our defense gave up 6th MOST TDs in the league. To me, that means Patrick Graham is the 6th WORST COORDINATOR in the league! Just like AP is bottom 5 coach IN THE LEAGUE.

Raiders need to fire AP + Telesco and consult Brady to bring in only qualified front office management and coaches. If AP or Telesco is with us next year I will know not to watch Raider football. There is nothing AP or Telesco can do to help us rise above 4th in the division.

I have to just snap back to reality and realize we most likely will be awful for the next 10 years. Our division got waaaaaay to jacked up for us to even try and compete.

  18. This season was supposed to know if Aidan is capable of being a QB1 caliber player. By not starting him for Minshew destroyed that strategy. Hiring Getsy was the biggest mistake of the season. So we are back to where we ended last season which is NOT good!Very disappointed as a Raiders fan.
