  1. 1. Elvis has been bad

    2. Not trading Provorov was a mistake

    3. Not playing Chinakhov is a mistake

    4. It’s over

  2. I’m glad the season ended today and not in the last day. It would’ve been way more heart breaking

  3. “Oh my god, Elvis sucks..”

As the offense was almost nonexistent and didn’t score a single goal.

  4. The team is just gassed. They have practically been playing playoff games for a few months. A lot of this team hasn’t played like this before. As disappointing as this is… it’s good for the future!

  5. Safe to say we’ve played ourselves out of a spot and it seems like the boys are deflated too. Not the way we wanted it to end but a great improvement this season for sure. I am looking forward to how we approach free agency and if we make any trades in the summer.

  6. Not going to talk about goaltending as I think most of us are on the same page. I’m not sure the reason Dean shuffled the top 2 lines for tonight. The top 6 was productive and it got thrown out of whack. Maybe something in the scouting report but in hindsight it was the wrong call.

  7. Welp, at least we don’t have to worry about that pesky wildcard race anymore…

  8. They’ve been much better than last year, though it’s disappointing to get this close and not make it.

    Hoping for a good summer!

  9. This team gave up. If they wanted a fighting chance at the playoffs, then they would’ve pulled Elvis.

  10. As much as we can (rightfully) dog on Elvis for the last few games, we can’t look over the fact that this was the teams fifth time getting shutout in the last month. You can’t win if you can’t score

  11. I am painfully aware of how bitterly disappointing this past month has been, but I’m glad the team chose this time to fall apart instead of November next season, will at least give us an off-season to help correct it.

  12. Not mad at it anymore. But this is one of the saddest moments I’ve experienced as a Jackets fan.

To see a team that played so hard all year long. They fought their asses off for themselves and for Johnny Gaudreau. Everything was clicking until it just didn’t.

So proud of them for what they’ve accomplished all year long, being predicted to be basement in the NHL and fighting for a playoff spot in April. These boys are gonna be really good one day and I am excited nonetheless for the future with Evason and Waddell. We’ve got so much potential even if this wasn’t the year.

Let’s just try our best to win the rest of our games and see what happens. At the very least, end the season with some pride!

  13. Been a really fun season. It’s clear that we’re better than bad teams and not as good as great teams. Still feels like we got a huge boost this year towards an incredible few years ahead.

  14. Since the Stadium Series, we are are 5-10.

5 of those losses were shutouts btw.

  15. Dream is over, back to ignoring the revisionist commentary from the talking heads and hoping we get another long playoff run up here to develop a contender.

  16. Battled and kicked ass for 60 games just to lay down and die in the last 20

  17. Sometimes I wonder if we should have been more aggressive on pickups prior to the trade deadline…it’s tough tho cuz it was actually working then

  18. Started my Draft research. Usually have made much more progress on it by now but haven’t had a reason to yet. Think I’m targeting Carter Bear with our first pick simply on the premise that he’s going in the 10-15 range and has the coolest name in that range.

  19. You can’t blame the goalie if you can’t score any goals. Just saying

  20. i just hope next year we’ll have enough talent to not over-rely on the bottom 6

  21. Post game thread way different than game thread but that’s ok…

  22. Well in other future good news, Greaves played a back to back and let one goal in between the two games.

  23. Let’s get a goalie not named Greaves, Tarasov, and least of all Merzlikins in net next season!!!
