Was 05 – 06 Dwyane Wade really that good or was it solely the help of Shaq that led them to the Finals?

  1. That was one of the most phenomenal stretches pretty much anyone has ever had. Shaq always helps but holy fucking shit dwade was incredible.

  2. Look up some of Shaq’s avgs that playoff run. In pivotal games he was dropping 15 pts and 10 rebounds…

  3. Shaq was past his prime, but still good.

Wade was making himself a household name in those finals.

Add in many great role players like Zo, Gary Payton, Jason Williams, James Posey and several others that all contributed to our first title.

  4. Fucking A man, you can’t call yourself a Heat fan if you didn’t watch those playoffs. Get on the couch and start from the beginning. You can even start with 03-05 playoffs if you want to build the suspense

  5. This is a dumb either or. It’s clearly both, he was phenomenal and Shaq was very helpful as well and created a lot of good opportunity for the team.

  6. Obviously Wade was absolutely incredible, but Shaq coming to Miami also was huge in them finally getting to the finals and winning. So not solely, but both had a huge impact in the success that year.

  7. People only started saying that when trying to debate Paul Pierce and James Harden over D Wade to try and discredit him.

  8. Lol what? DWade put Shaq’s big ass on his back and dragged that team to a ring.

Love Shaq but he was well past his prime at that point.

  9. i watched that season and i started to feel like wade may be the next Jordan. I also felt like Shaq was past his prime. Alonzo was better than Shaq in the finals. So no.

  10. Wade was that guy. He was great before Shaq, Great with shaq and great after shaq . Hell the first year with lebron he was arguably better than him. Wade was HIM
